MICHIGAN VOTERS RECOGNIZE LEGITIMATE VALUE OF CASINOS FOR ENTERTAINMENT, TOURISM, JOBS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

DORR, Mich., September 19, 2002 -- Editors Note: The following statement may be attributed to Mr. D. K. Sprauge, Tribal Chairman, Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians, commonly known as the Gun Lake Tribe:

"It is encouraging to see that the WOOD-TV survey shows that Michigan voters are increasingly recognizing the legitimate value of casinos for entertainment, tourism, jobs and local economic development. We agree with the six out of ten voters who said that casinos can be an important part of entertainment and tourism for communities.

"We continue to make solid progress on the Gun Lake Casino and look forward to bringing more than 4,300 needed jobs, economic development, local revenue sharing and a proven recreational attraction to benefit Allegan County and western Michigan.
